The Journey
This painting,"The Journey, is symbolic of my memoir, The Unintentional Journey, A Gift, the story of my daughter Carrie Louise. The setting for the painting is Bald Head Island, just referred to as "the island" in the book, a special place that was significant as an escape from the real world. Carrie is on her own personal journey through light and dark places with the ultimate goal, the light at the end of the tunnel of trees. This oil painting on hard board is 24"x 30" .
